Online payment card fraud has been a major concern in many countries in Asia, United States and Europe. The pervasive use of the internet for services and merchandise has allowed traditional payment card criminals the opportunity to fraudulently order substantial volume of merchandise with unauthorised credit card details, and remain anonymous through the use of spoofed IP addresses or operating from cybercafes.
To address this concern, CAD will be organising an Online Merchant Fraud Forum in June 2008.
