A series of renovation scams were reported to the Police since July 06. The culprits turned up at shops and offices, claiming to carry out renovation works. After asking for the money from the frontline staff to purchase the renovation materials, they absconded with the money.
The public is advised to refrain from handing over money to whoever walks into their stores requesting renovation deposits. They should check with their management, as well as notify the Police immediately.
