As Commercial Affairs Officers, you are required to conduct enquiries and investigations into major complaints of commercial fraud, securities market misconduct, large scale investment scams and money laundering, either independently or as part of a team. You would also
- Assist prosecutors in criminal legal proceedings resulting from the investigations;
- Analyse and enquire into reports on suspicious financial transactions received by the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office to detect money laundering, terrorism financing and other criminal offences, and
- Work with regulators, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore Exchange Limited, Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority, and with Ministries and Statutory Boards in the investigations.
You will attend a structured training programme for new Commercial Affairs Officers on economic crime, training on key legislation enforced by CAD and receive coaching and mentoring by experienced commercial crime investigators.
