Commercial Affairs Officers are required to conduct enquiries and investigations into major complaints of commercial frauds, securities market misconduct, large scale investment scams and money laundering, either independently or in a team.
- You would assist in Criminal Legal Proceedings resulting from the investigations.
- You would also analyse and enquire into reports on suspicious financial transactions received by the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office to detect money laundering, terrorism financing and other criminal offences.
- You would work with regulators, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Singapore Exchange Limited, Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority, and with Ministries and Statutory Boards in the investigations.
New Commercial Affairs Officers joining CAD will attend a structured training programme on economic crime, training on key legislation enforced by CAD and receive coaching and mentoring by experienced commercial crime investigators. Experienced officers receive continuous training based on a comprehensive learning framework to enhance their competency and develop their potential.
