The Strait Times, Four Men Conspired To Forge Cheques 

FOUR unemployed men were sentenced to between two months' and two years' jail yesterday for conspiring with another to forge cheques earlier this year. Two of them, Ng Chai Heng, 45, and Ravi Chandran Govindarajoo, 38, also faced charges of conspiring with John Choo Saew Wee, 21, to steal bank cheques. Choo, the main culprit, is now serving three years for his role in the crimes. Ng was given 24 months, while Ravi was given 12 months. Ravi's brother, G. Selvaganapathi, 40, was sentenced to eight months while Tan Seow Huat, 40, was given two months. All sentences were backdated to April 5.
