To generate greater awareness on the need to combat and deter corporate fraud and to instill a high standard of integrity and ethics particularly at the top management level, CAD organised the CAD Corporate Governance Conference on "Corporate Ethics - Emerging Challenges and Responses" on 23 November 2005 at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia. The Guest-Of-Honour was Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee. The response for the conference was overwhelming and the more than 500-strong audience gained insightful views on the issue of corporate governance from the various discussions held during the event. To further reach out to the business community, The Business Times published a post-conference book titled, "Corporate Ethics - Emerging Challenges and Responses", which contained a compilation of all the speeches that were delivered by the speakers at the event.
