The Commercial Affairs Department is investigating Ginsystem Inc, its related companies and its officers for cheating offences.
Ginsystem Inc is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and its registered address is at TrustNet (British Virgin Islands) Limited, TrustNet Chambers, PO Box 3444, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
Ginsystem Inc through its website at www.ginsystem.com, offered investors who deposited a minimum of US$450, a return of 2% on the sum invested each trading day. Ginsystem Inc claims that returns to investors are generated from their portfolio of investment programs involving bonds, share IPOs, private equity funds, forex, co-investment in direct investments and private placement investment funds. There is reason to believe that such representations are fraudulent.
A director of Ginsystem Inc was arrested and charged in court on 12 May 2005 for conspiracy to cheat investors. Police are appealing for investors to come forward with information on their investments with Ginsystem Inc. Investors should submit details of their investment and their personal particulars. Anyone with information relating to the investigation can also submit such information at email address SPF_ginsystem_investigations@spf.gov.sg or contact CAD at 6557 5471.
